Pappas Furs
Shut Down Pappas Furs
Pappas Furs is a Canadian furrier that specializes in clothing of the cruelest kind—enormous fur coats, wraps, and muffs made from the skins of suffering animals. How many animals are there in a standard full-length fur coat? Anywhere from 10 to 20 foxes, 18 to 20 lambs, or 130 to 200 chinchillas!
Pappas Furs sources their furs from Europe, Asia, and North America, and they have facilities in Vancouver and Hong Kong. Learn more about the fur trade and what's wrong with it.
Recently, Pappas Furs opened a new store in the Aberdeen Centre in Richmond, and we want them out. In the past few years, campaigners have convinced the Sutton Place Hotel not to renew their contract with Pappas and Famous Players theatres to stop running their ads!

Liberation BC at Aberdeen Centre
Here are some photos from our October 21st fur show takeover at Aberdeen Centre in Richmond. (Click on each image below for a larger version. Each one is approximately 3.5MB.) Actions that took place included a fashion runway takeover, a stand-in and a big protest outside the mall. We sent a clear message to Aberdeen Centre that fur is not tolerated in our society. It is your turn now to tell Aberdeen Centre that you do not approve of the fashion show over the weekend and that you want Pappas out of their mall! Please remember to be polite.
