The Canadian Seal Hunt
The Canadian Seal Hunt is the largest slaughter of marine animals on Earth.
Over 1 million baby seals have been killed for their fur during just the past 3 years of the hunt. The annual Canadian seal hunt is absolutely unecessary and cruel. The Canadian Marine Mammal Regulations allow sealers to kill seals with wooden clubs, guns, and hakapiks (large ice-pick-like clubs). Wounded seals are often left to suffer hours and days in agony as their deaths are not immediate.
